Cherishing A Moment

Well, let me start out by saying… if anything, you’ll want to keep coming back to this blog for the great music ;-) I am a HUGE Kool & The Gang fan. Anyway…

I chose this song because I was sitting outside this morning just CHERISHING the moment and I wanted to share it with you.

Do you ever sense when something really big is about to happen to your life? And the best part is that I get to bring anyone with me that chooses to do so.

Will you go back with me for a moment? Over the last 10 years since my husband and I have been together, we have been on this journey through life and business. We have always worked for ourselves and have owned several businesses… some with huge success and some not so great. BUT, everything was a learning and growing experience and has shaped me into who I am today. We have made some tremendous sacrifices that other people would (and have) thought were crazy.

So recently a lot of things have just been coming into alignment. Our current business project is about to launch and there is so much energy being created and dispersed. It’s like what we have sacrificed is being returned WITH INTEREST!

Please so not take this that I am bragging. Everything is still based on faith at this point.

I am making this point about the word CHERISH! I see now that when you truly cherish your life and postpone some gratification and help people as opposed to running on selfish ambition… you will be hansomely and generously rewarded. It is really amazing! In the movie The Secret, they use the term “attitude of gratitude” and there really is some weight in that phrase. Not a “moment of gratitude” or “a few minutes of gratitude”… ATTITUDE is a part of your energy and core.

So consider the word Cherish today. I would love to hear your comments on the word.

Hi, Just a test message from my Ping.fm account.

Who Wants Easy?

Okay so first let me explain the Lionel Richie video. I wanted to share a post about the word easy. So I go to YouTube as I always do and that was the only thing I could think of with the word easy. So I listened to it and the boy can sing… so I thought it would be cool to share.

So I have been really taking in my life recently. I have been focusing more on my NOW. Things have been very dynamic and every day is like a new adventure. I am loving my life right now and it is certainly not easy.

So I wanted to look more into that word, easy. I went to dictionary.com to look it up. Here are some definitions:

not hard or difficult; requiring no great labor or effort

free from pain, discomfort, worry, or care

providing or conducive to ease or comfort

not difficult to influence or overcome

After reading those, would you really want easy?! Easy is for weak people. Do you consider yourself a weak person? If so, stop right now! If not, then stop looking for things to be easy!

I’ll use an example with my kids (of course). I never just give them money, they always do something to earn it. I do not want them to think that money is easy to come by. I want them to know they can have as much of it as they want… they just need to work for it. And you don’t have to always work for it. Once you start making it, it can work for you.

I think there is this association between easy being good and hard being bad. Who ever started that belief? And why do so many of us believe it?

Easy = Good

Hard = Bad

I am redefining that right now! Easy is not bad. Requiring no effort is bad. Free from care is bad. Not difficult to influence or overcome is bad.

I have given birth to 4 children. Believe me, it was worth the discomfort!

So think about what your formula for life is. Easy = Bad? If so, you can change that right now!

Change Is Nature

Life is an amazing  journey. I say journey because there is a destination I am pursuing but the roads keep changing.

I have always been the type of person that likes things to be consistent. Not to say that I am the best at keeping a schedule and regiment but I do find consistency to be comfortable.

I have found, however, a correlation between comfortable and stagnant. In my own life, when I am comfortable, my life is not really growing a whole lot. Things may be predictable, which is comforting, but the unexpected is really where growth occurs.

I watch a lot of Disney movies with my kids and I am usually impressed at the message. In Ratatouilli, my favorite scene is between the dad rat and his son. The son is looking to do something very different with his life than anyone else in his family. The son is looking to branch out and become more of society while the dad wants him to stay within his rat community. The son has to point out to the dad (don’t kids teach us some big lessons?) that change is nature.

Change is what shows that we are growing.

Change is what keeps us aware of what is going on in our life.

Change is when we make some of our best relationships.

Change is when our lives tend to reveal something about ourselves.

Change is necessary for growth.

But who ever promised it would be comfortable? I have been going through a lot of changes lately with my business. I think something is moving in a certain direction and I am focused on that but then things change and a shift needs to be made. Then that focus is placed and guess what… something else changes.

I am learning to not only become more comfortable with change but to actually embrace it. Change has brought about some amazing things and I believe it will continue to do that.

So share with me how change has affected your life.

A Lesson From My Father-In-Law

I wanted to share this with you. My father-in-law is over our house right now and brought his video that he took from 4th of July fireworks this year. We were with him but did not realize he was video taping.

Let me tell you a little about him. He is over today because today is his 70th birthday! This man has had 5 strokes and a heart attack and is still living strong.

The last stoke he had was a month after our 4 year old son was born. It took his ability to speak. He has had years of speech therapy but is still limited in his communication.

As you watch this video of the fireworks, that is his voice you hear. He said in his 70 years, this was the best fireworks display he has seen in his entire life!

This got me to thinking…

What is waiting for us that may take us a lifetime to experience it at its best?

Is it worth it to keep living and surviving and overcoming even in some of life’s serious circumstances?

My father-in-law Norman thinks so! Since his last stroke he has seen his grandchildren grow up and had another one come along. He is someone that truly appreciates life and knows for a fact that he is still on this earth breathing and experiencing life for a reason. It is so clear with all of his near death illnesses that he is supposed to be here.

So I ask you today? What are you here to do? What is your purpose? What is it that you are meant to experience and appreciate?

Say Good-Bye to This Blog!

This blog with self-destruct in one week! The better news is that I will have something amazing to offer you about one week after that.

Internet social media marketing is certainly the way of the future. The center of this type of communication is the blog. The video does a great job of explaining it so I will leverage off of that.

So what does all this have to do with you. Well, if you already have a blog you know the time it takes to format it as you like it, compose the articles, keep up with the posts, etc. It typically takes time and money to establish your blog as something of value and so people see you as an expert.

Well, what if someone designed a blog that came packaged in a way that looks professional (as opposed to free), had tons of valuable content and also had training videos to teach people how to become a social media entrepreneur.

What if someone thought enough about you and the 73% of internet marketers that are either brand new or have been doingit for a few months.

This is the industry of information technology. Certainly the fastest growing and changing industry there is and it will continue to be that way. So being new to the industry, where do you start? How much money will you waste before you find what you really need?

I happen to have just the thing!

Me and my team have been feverishly working on something that will do 4 things:

1. Provide you with an eye-catching, professional looking blog

2. Have it loaded with tons of valuable content

3. It will contain in-depth training videos teaching others how to become internet social media marketers

4. You can give away as many as you want and get paid on each person that uses it

I can’t give too many more details beyond that until our trademark does through but just know that this will change the way people look at blogs and it will equip the 73% with what they need to become an instant internet expert!

Stay tuned!!

What’s Your Face Value?

Discover The 7 Secrets To Building Rock Solid Relationships And Branding Yourself On Facebook In 7 Days

Face Value is literally other social media marketer’s perception of what you are worth to them. In other words once they see your face online, do they associate you with value or spam.

I know that if you took the time to stop by and read this post than we are probably like-minded in the sense that you are looking to uncover What’s Your Face Value..

The truth is that 73% of all social media marketers are beginners or have only been using social media for a matter of a few months. And if you are like most beginners your mindset is likely focused on “getting friends” as opposed to “making connections.”

Take it from me, I learned the hard way that people don’t care about what you know until they know that you care.

Eben Pagan, one of my mentors and friends says…

Why try to “get” a buck, when you can “give” away $100 of value and they’ll naturally give you $10 in return.

He talks about when he first got started in internet marketing, his idea was to
get one million people to give him $1. Not a lot to ask for so he figured he could get it and have a million dollars.

Needles to say, he ran into the same hurdles all social media marketers eventually face before they learn about Face Value.

He started giving people $100 worth of valuable information and simply asking for $10 in return. Do you think they gave it to him…

Let’s put it this way, Eban just had a conference that cost $10,000 to attend and needless to say every social media marketer in the room connected to

Eban via the same $100 worth of free information that I was freely given.

So how much should you give… A better question is how much do you want to “get” out of social media marketing?

So what do you think Eban’s Face Value is…

That is really the most important question you could ever ask yourself in terms of making money using online social media marketing…

What We Can Learn From The Death Of Michael Jackson

I can safely say that people all over the world are mourning the loss of a legend today. Pretty powerful that one person can have reached out to that many people. So many people have memories associated with this man. Imagine for a minute what it took for him to estalish that level  of notoriety.

So… let’s put this in perspective…

We are all on this earth for a short time with a purpose. Michael Jackson had a purpose and he did not fall short. His purpose was to affect people from all over the world with his talents. He worked very hard from a very young age to become recognized all over the world and to be one of the most recognized people in history.

As much as we can chuckle about his life and some of the craziness, he is truly a great example of living to your potential.

What is your potential? What did your Creator (whatever you believe that to be) believe you are capable of? Are you living to your full potential?

This has nothing to do with keeping up with the Jones’s… in fact, quite the contrary.

You search deep inside so you have no external influences, and you ask that inner source what your potential is…

Do you think it is to be mediocre?… do you think it is to be just makin’ it?…

Hell no! We are created for GREATNESS and you are not only letting yourself down if you don’t reach for it.

Our ultimate greatness comes when we make other people feel good. That’s what Michael did.

He made us all feel good with his music.

What are you using to make people feel good? Are you truly connecting with them and caring about their lives, or are you just goin’  for yours?

Life is about giving, people… the more you try to hold on to “things” and acquire “things”, the more closed your heart and life becomes.

If, however, you are out there every day helping people to achieve financial freedom or providing a solution for the millions of people that are out of work or whatever your passion is… do it like you were created to do it.

No  more half-ass (sorry, but we are adults here) attempts, figure out what you want and go for it. Don’t worry about the “how’s” yet… just focus on what you want and send tons of energy to it. I am a HUGE believer in the Law of Attraction and that we live in a big ol’ energy source and you can literally attract things into your life, you just gotta give it energy.

So that’s all for now… ponder on that and feel free to leave a comment here.

Thanks for letting me share.

Fun With WordPress

Well, I must say… this is an interesting business, Internet/Social Media Marketing. I had no technical experience other than sending emails and there I was, months later, with an incredible understanding of the market, yet still so much to learn. Nothing has changed…

That is the beauty of the business, well their are several benefits, but a prominant one being the constant challenge of keeping up with an industry, information technology, that is always moving forward. It’s like trying to stand still on an escalator. If you do not eventually move your feet, you are stuck. You will get to a point where everyone else has gotten off but you because they moved their feet and you didn’t.

So what does that have to do with WordPress? Well, not too long ago, I thought WordPress had something to do with ironing and I wanted nothing to do with it!

But once I got over my initial fear (and you know fear is only a bad thing if you believe it is… it just moves you towards something) and actually went to download WordPress, it was kinda fun.

It is great to be able to express yourself and be heard by people all over the world. And, as an added benefit, you make some great relationships that you never would have made otherwise. I mean chatting with someone on Facebook in Australia when I am in North Carolina US of A… I am waking up and they are going to sleep… I’m talking the other side of the world, people!

So, back to WordPress ( I’m getting to my point, I promise)…

If I hadn’t moved my feet into this industry and study and learn and apply every day, no matter what… I’m talking commited, I would not be anywhere. Am I where I want to be?… No. But I am getting closer every day but that threshold keeps getting pushed forward because information is always moving. I have several people that I follow because they are good and positive leaders. Some of my personal favorites are Eben Pagan, Mike Dillard, Jonathan Budd, Katie Freiling, Rachel Jackson, just to name a few…

I know that to be a good leader, I need to be a good follower because that is when you really learn.

But I am also married and have 5 kids, so slaving away with my head buried in my laptop all day was not an option.

So I mesh my business with my family throughout the day. I will discuss that in another article, but for now just remember this…

Evaluate if this industry is something you want to be commited to. As Anthony Robbins says, are you interested or commited?

If you are commited, come on and join the fun of Internet Social Media Marketing. There’s room for all of us!

Here’s to freedom!

The Importance of Perspective

One of my favorite quotes is by Dr Wayne Dyer who is one of my spiritual mentors. When I heard him say it, it resonated with me for a very long time afterwards. I repeated it in my head initially because I wanted to remember it. As I repeated it in my mind, it gradually made more sense and I began to apply it to my life.

The quote is this: “When you change the way you look at things, things you look at change.”

I have meditated on this thought for 2 years now and it means 2 things to me depending on how the quote is emphasized.

1. “When you change the way you look at things, things you look at CHANGE.” As an example, I noticed this with my kids. I started to change the way I saw them. Instead of getting frustrated over things they would do, I changed the way I was looking at them. Not literally… like I didn’t start standing on my head to see them upside-down. I changed the way I saw them in the way of being gifts that I was responsible to, in a way that I am always teaching them by my behavior and habits, in a way that I started looking for the things they were doing right as opposed to what they were doing wrong. When I did that, changed the way I saw them, things I looked at (my kids) changed. Did they change, no, but how I saw them changed. That, in effect, changed me and caused me to be more patient and relaxed and less stressed because I was focused on what they were doing right.

2. “When you change the way you look at things, things you LOOK AT change.” I noticed the emphasis when I was getting ready to change businesses. It was amazing and literally an ah-hah moment when I changed my perspective and the things I was going through in my mind and the thoughts literally changed when my perspective did. The things I began to look at changed, became different.

Anyway… try applying this. Change the way you see certain situations, people, circumstances, etc. and allow this thought to resonate and work itself out. Amazing things can happen!
